The SkinCeuticals cryocorrectpen is an affordable and comfortable way to gently freeze away unwanted age spots, sun spots, and skin tags from face, hands, and body.
The CryoPen emits a pressurised, super fine jet of nitrous oxide from its tip, which allows our clinician to work with precision that is millimetre perfect. The tissue is destroyed by freezing the intracellular fluid, forming ice crystals which break the cell membrane, thereby destroying the targeted tissue; allowing healthy tissue to remain untouched. CryoPen delivers precise cooling, without the need for any cryogenic gases, liquids or anaesthetics, making treatment virtually painless, quick, effective, and safe enough to use on children. It is an ideal solution for removal of skin lesions and imperfections.
Treatment takes only 15 minutes. During your treatment, the spot or skin tag is quickly frozen for 5-8 seconds with a precise stream of carbon dioxide to gently freeze away unwanted skin cells.
Lesions usually assume a darker color (this is the dead cells), as the skin regenerates underneath it will slough or flake away. A follow up visit is recommended after 4 weeks to assess response to the initial treatment and whether further application is required.
Significant improvement was seen among dark spots of varying size and shades, with 66% of subjects showing complete removal of dark spots in week 6. Depending on your response, the recovery process varies from 4 to 12 weeks.
